📞 After-Hours Help: You’re Not Alone

realistic design element: telephone

It’s late in the evening, and something doesn’t feel right. Maybe your child is unusually withdrawn… maybe they’ve said something that worries you… or maybe your gut just says, “I need to talk to someone.”

When concerns about your child’s mental health or wellbeing come up outside of regular office hours, it can feel overwhelming—but support is available.

Here are some after-hours services you can call in Western Australia:

🔹 Crisis Care – 1800 199 008 (24/7)
WA’s Crisis Care service offers after-hours telephone support for families and individuals in crisis. They can assist with child protection concerns, family support, and urgent wellbeing issues.

🔹 Kids Helpline – 1800 55 1800 (24/7)
Free, confidential support for children and young people (aged 5–25), and parents. Kids and teens can speak directly to a trained counsellor, and parents can also call for guidance.

🔹 Beyond Blue – 1300 22 4636 (24/7)
For anyone experiencing emotional distress or supporting someone who is. Trained mental health professionals are available around the clock.

🔹 Lifeline – 13 11 14 (24/7)
A national crisis support line for people feeling overwhelmed or needing someone to talk to, including carers and family members.

🔹 Headspace – Visit headspace.org.au to find local centres and online support for young people aged 12–25.

✨ Reaching out is a sign of strength. You don’t have to wait for an appointment to get help, especially when your child’s wellbeing is at stake.
