Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder Assessments

People with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) may struggle with inattention, impulsivity and hyperactivity. A diagnosis of ADHD means that the difficulties are/were present in children and to such a degree that they impact on school, home life and relationships. For adults and older adolescents they may also include difficulties in the workplace.

Naomi has been doing ADHD assessments with children over her 15 years in private practice.

An ADHD assessment with Naomi will include the following:

  1. A clinical interview
  2. A cognitive (intellectual) assessment
  3. Questionnaires looking at features of ADHD
  4. Consultation with schools and therapists
  5. Other rating scales to screen for learning difficulties, developmental concerns and mental health concerns (such as anxiety or depression) if needed
  6. A feedback session at the end of the assessment to talk through the findings and recommendations with report provided.

For adults, the assessment will be tailored based on the initial appointment.
